ACCORDINGTO THE ATTACHED AD, the COMPACT was made byGIRAUD FILS(FRENCH PERFUMER) between 1928-1930,the attached AD is from 1930 (not for sale)

Giraud Filslaunched the Odorantis brand in the late 1920sincollaboration with Volupte, and he namedhis 1stPressed Powders:Odorantis(see 1930s Ad)

Thepower case measures 5.5 cm (2 1/8 inches) in diameter.

The upperpaper-machelid designed in gold andviolettaArt Decopattern. The interior reveals glass mirror in gold-metal frame and gold paper-mache powder well. Atthe base of mirror inscribed: J p Giraud Fils PARIS over gold-leaf metal and Frenchpaper-mache (of that exceptional old quality).The powder wellcontained the original white pressed powder instripedpattern that isseparatedon one sidefrom the rest, (the larger part isstill inthe powder well). The powder well is covered with unused original puff withJ Giraud Fils inscription, and is inpristine antique condition for its age. The base is in gold-leaf paper-mache, inscribed:

The compact comes in its 1930s original box, that isshows a very light shelf wear at the base,

the upper lid designed in a flapper style withoutclasp, however, its closes well, the box is inscribed with
