Description /About: Spiral Optic #1353 Pitcher / Jug - 9 3/4" H. - 7 1/2" W.
Item Condition: Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The color is beautiful. The #1353 Spiral Optic jug is usually found with a crystal applied handle. Our stunning jug has a blue glass handle. This is an early 1939 jug / pitcher and is very hard to find. The opalescence is outstanding. Spiral Optic - Fenton begin producing Spiral Optic in 1938 with the introduction of the Fenton Spiral Optic Hat in four sizes. The hats were made in 6 different opalescent colors. Spiral Optic became a best seller and although it disappeared from the line after a short time it was reintroduced in 1951. Pieces of Snowcrest as well as opalescent vases were in the General Line. Lamps, bowls, vases were also available. Fenton also produced pieces for L.G. Wright. In 1979 Fenton made Spiral Optic in Cameo Opalescent and Blue Opalescent in 6 new shapes. Other colors and shapes of Spiral Optic were made later for QVC and the General Line. Some of these later pieces were also hand painted. Pieces of Spiral Optic made after 1970 are embossed on the bottom with the current Fenton logo.
